Construction Information
Coolidge Elementary school was originally erected in 1962. The reason for the creation of the school was actually due to a shortage of room in the other Neenah elementary schools and expansion of students on the south side of Neenah; this is why the creation date is much more recent than many of the other elementary schools in the area. Since then, many small scale renovations occurred over to the original building. Most notably, the new play area. The school entered a contest to win a new playground and eventually won. The new kindergarten through 3rd grade playground was then instated in the year 2014. Some of the renovations include the following:
Interestingly, before 2014 there were climbable tire formations where the first two structures are pictured. They were shredded and are now used as the cushioning in case a child falls from one of the new structures.
